Spring always feels like an awakening, a soft and hopeful return to beauty. And this year, the wedding world is blooming with ideas that speak to romance, emotion, and timeless elegance.

I’m so inspired by what’s ahead for Spring 2026, from florals that look like living sculpture, to couture-inspired gowns, to venues that feel like a hidden dream. Each trend aligns beautifully with the fine-art aesthetic I love, and I can already imagine how they’ll come to life through my light-filled, fine-art lens.
Sculptural and Twisted Florals
Florists are designing with intention and artistry this season, creating installations that echo sculpture and still-life painting. Twisted stems, sweeping branches, and asymmetrical forms are becoming the floral language of spring. These designs feel more like floral poems than arrangements, weaving together soft textures and bold shape. I’m drawn to oversized hellebores paired with trailing jasmine, or dried palm fans anchored by delicate ranunculus.

In my wedding photography portfolio, I aim to honor this artistry. I love capturing a bride cradling a spiral bouquet in the morning sun, or photographing a floral arch from beneath to showcase its movement and form. The way light slips through petals, how cascading orchids mirror the drape of a gown, these are the quiet, emotional moments that I seek. These florals don’t just decorate a space; they tell a story, and I frame each image so you can feel it.
Bridal Fashion: Sculptural Silhouettes & Vintage Romance
Bridal fashion this spring is walking the line between high art and heritage. Think architectural gowns with sharply tailored bodices, voluminous skirts with organic movement, and corsetry that feels both bold and elegant. These silhouettes are powerful in their simplicity and make space for personal expression.

I also see a return to romance: antique lace, Juliet sleeves, heirloom pearls. There’s something deeply nostalgic about it, as if these pieces are borrowed from a grandmother’s hope chest, then made new again. My approach to bridal portraits highlights these contrasts, a dramatic neckline silhouetted in golden hour, or a close-up of intricate embroidery as a veil lifts in the breeze. I often document the transformation between a ceremony gown and a sleek after-party look. There’s beauty in both the structure and the softness, and I want each frame to feel effortlessly editorial and emotionally true. My approach to bridal portraits balances structure and softness, making every dress feel like a custom-crafted work of art.
Modern Luxe Décor: Metallics & Artisan Details
This season’s design is equal parts sleek and soulful. Metallic elements such as brushed gold, burnished brass, and modern chrome appear in sculptural shapes. They add shimmer and structure, often juxtaposed with raw wood, textured linens, or hand-thrown ceramics. The effect is elevated but still organic.

What I love most is how deeply personal design is becoming. Embroidered menus, painted signage, monogrammed ribbons, heirloom glassware, all the little touches that tell your story quietly. When I photograph these details, I focus on emotion. A wax seal tucked into linen folds, a velvet ribbon knotted just so. These moments deserve to be preserved with as much care as a portrait. They’re love notes to your future self. For more examples of how I capture detail-rich wedding designs, visit my featured weddings
Color Palettes: Jewel Tones, Sunset Hues & Elegant Neutrals

Spring color stories are glowing with depth. Rich jewel tones like emerald, sapphire, and garnet bring regal warmth, while sunset shades such as coral and terracotta infuse optimism and light. Soft neutrals like champagne, dove gray, and sand provide an elegant canvas for both. What matters most to me is how these colors feel, how they hold emotion and memory.
In my imagery, I work with the natural light to let these hues bloom gently. A golden rose caught in evening light, a velvet linen photographed at twilight, a sapphire ribbon floating in a flat lay. These tones aren’t just pretty; they’re poetic. I also love layering earth-toned pastels like seafoam, lavender, and dusty blush with tactile materials such as handmade paper, silk ribbon, and ceramic plates. Each detail is a brushstroke in the larger painting of your day. I always encourage couples to explore my editorial style galleries to see how color can enhance the emotional tone of your celebration.
Venue & Setting: Immersive Landscapes & Tropical Flair

Couples are seeking places that feel immersive, venues that tell a story on their own. From historic villas and flower-draped greenhouses to coastal cliffs and tucked-away gardens, Spring 2026 is all about being surrounded by beauty that feels untouched and deeply personal.
I’m always watching how light plays across these spaces, how a vine-wrapped balcony holds the sun at golden hour or how a quiet courtyard echoes with laughter. These are the moments I frame carefully, letting architecture and nature set the stage while emotion takes center. Some of my favorite weddings have unfolded in wild landscapes or intimate destinations, where each turn feels like stepping into a dream. You can view more destination and outdoor weddings I’ve photographed to inspire your venue search.
I’m particularly inspired by venues with texture and story, old stone staircases, timeworn wooden doors, wrought iron balconies wrapped in vines. These spaces invite curiosity and create stunning frames within the frame. I often begin a shoot by walking the grounds and watching how light moves through the space. The goal is to create a visual narrative that’s not only beautiful but grounded in place and time, the kind of imagery that transports you back in an instant.
As always, I’m inspired by what’s beautiful, but even more so by how that beauty becomes yours.
I’d love to talk about your vision and explore how we can create something deeply personal and timeless together. Please get in touch to chat about your plans or explore my full portfolio for more inspiration. I can’t wait to create something beautiful with you.
With love,
Brandie

Frequently Asked Questions for 2026 & 2027 Couples
When should we book you for our wedding?
Most couples reserve their date 9–15 months in advance. I take on a limited number of weddings each year so I can give each one the attention it deserves. If you feel a connection to my work, I recommend reaching out as soon as you have a date and venue confirmed.
Where are you based, and do you travel?
I’m based in North Carolina but photograph weddings all across the Southeast and beyond. I absolutely love destination weddings and am available for travel worldwide. Whether it’s a garden ceremony close to home or a villa in Tuscany, I’ll be there with my cameras and my carry-on packed with film.
How would you describe your photography style?
Refined, romantic, and emotionally honest. My approach blends editorial composition with a deep love for natural light, soft textures, and story-driven imagery. I want your photographs to feel timeless now and beautiful for decades to come.
Do you shoot film or digital?
Both. I use medium format film and digital interchangeably, depending on light and setting. Film has a softness and color richness that I adore, and I love pairing that with the versatility of digital. Together, they help me create a complete, luminous story of your day.
How many images will we receive?
Typically between 600–900 fully edited images for a full-day wedding. Every gallery includes a mix of editorial portraits, emotional candids, and all the elegant little details you worked so hard to plan.
Can we share a shot list or Pinterest board?
I welcome your inspiration! I always recommend sharing your priorities: heirloom moments, personal details, and people who matter most. But once the day begins, I encourage you to trust the process and be present. The most beautiful images often happen in the in-between moments you don’t plan.
Will you help with our timeline?
Absolutely. I collaborate closely with your planner or coordinator to ensure the timeline leaves space for natural light, editorial portraits, and quiet breathing room. My goal is to keep the day moving effortlessly while making space for calm, beautiful moments to unfold.
Do you offer engagement sessions?
Yes, and I highly recommend them. An engagement session is a wonderful way for us to connect and get comfortable before the big day. It’s also a beautiful way to document this chapter in your love story; just the two of you, in a setting that feels true to your relationship.
How do we reserve our date?
Once you’ve decided we’re a fit, I’ll send over a custom proposal and contract. A signed agreement and retainer officially reserve your date. From there, we’ll begin planning your engagement session or simply stay in touch until your timeline comes together.
